A five-day silent retreat at Ajloun Forest Reserve, guided by Zen Master Randy Wolbert “Serene Cloud” (Jaku-un) offering an opportunity to step away from the pace and distractions of everyday life and devote time to mindfulness, meditation, and reflection.

Through periods of silence, mindful sitting and walking, teacher-led talks, and individual guidance, participants are invited to deepen their practice while cultivating balance between body, mind and the world around us.

About Randy Wolbert

Randy Wolbert is a Zen Master in the Empty Cloud Lineage with decades of experience in Zen practice, mindfulness training, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

Authorized to teach in the Empty Cloud Lineage in 2016, he received transmission as a Zen Master in 2021. He has since led Zen sesshins and Zen-Based Mindfulness Trainings across 12 countries, working with students from around the world.

Alongside his Zen practice, Randy is a Licensed Master Social Worker and an experienced DBT trainer who previously worked with Behavioral Tech, the organization established by DBT founder Marsha Linehan.

Daily Practice

The retreat follows a structured rhythm designed to support sustained mindfulness throughout the day, including:

Mindful sitting · Walking meditation · Dharma talks · Individual teacher interviews · Mindful movement · Silent meals · Tea and rest periods

Silence begins on the evening of September 7 and concludes with a shared, non-silent breakfast on September 11.
