Amman Film Industry Days Announces Development and Post Production Jury Members for Its 2026 Edition 🎬✨

The Amman International Film Festival – Awal Film (AIFF) has announced the jury members for the Amman Film Industry Days (AFID), who will evaluate selected projects across the festival’s development and post-production platforms.

Taking place during the festival’s seventh edition, AFID will support emerging Arab filmmakers through financial and in-kind awards, helping projects move forward from development to production.

This year’s Industry Days feature 20 projects, including:
🎬 5 Jordanian first-feature projects in development
🎬 10 Arab feature projects in development
🎬 5 Arab projects in post-production

Amman Film Industry Days Jury 🎥

The jury includes:

Avelina Prat — Spanish director and screenwriter.
Ayman El Amir — Egyptian director, producer, and script consultant.
Mehdi Barsaoui — Tunisian writer and director.
Rand Beiruty — Jordanian director, writer, and producer.
Talal Al-Muhanna — Kuwaiti film and television producer.

Jordanian Short Film Incubator 🇯🇴

In partnership with the Royal Film Commission – Jordan, AFID has launched a new programme supporting 15 Jordanian short film projects currently in development.

Throughout the programme, selected filmmakers worked with mentors on script development, project dossiers, and pitching preparation, leading up to a dedicated pitching session where projects will compete for a cash development award.

The jury includes:

Marco Orsini — Puerto Rican writer, director, producer, and mentor.
Tarek Abu-Lughod — Jordanian producer and distributor.
Saja Kilani — Jordanian actress.

Beyond the pitching sessions, Amman Film Industry Days will continue to bring together filmmakers and industry professionals through panels, masterclasses, workshops, and public talks exploring current industry trends and the evolving challenges facing cinema today.
