Jordan’s Eid al-Fitr Holiday Officially Announced for March 20 – 23

Jordan’s Prime Minister, Jafar Hassan, has issued an official notice declaring the Eid al-Fitr holiday from Friday, March 20, until Monday, March 23, 2026.

The holiday applies to all ministries, official departments, public institutions, universities, municipalities, joint service councils, the Greater Amman Municipality, and fully government-owned companies. Entities whose work requires continued operations will remain on duty according to the nature of their responsibilities. Certain ministries and departments whose work requires continuity are exempted.

As Ramadan draws to a close, Jordanians are preparing to welcome Eid with prayers, family gatherings, and long-standing traditions shared across the Kingdom. With the holiday officially set, the countdown has officially begun. 🌙✨
