A new humanitarian aid convoy comprising 50 trucks departed Jordan’s capital on Thursday, headed for the Gaza Strip. The operation is a joint effort between the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO), World Central Kitchen, and the World Food Program.

The trucks are carrying essential food items, including flour, infant formula, grains, oils, and supplies for hot meals. The aid is intended to help address the worsening humanitarian conditions in Gaza, where residents face critical shortages of basic goods.

According to JHCO, this is the fifth aid convoy sent in cooperation with international organizations in the past 10 days. The previous four convoys included 147 trucks in total.

On Wednesday, JHCO managed to send a separate convoy of 36 trucks via the Zikim border crossing after World Central Kitchen confirmed readiness to facilitate entry and distribution inside Gaza.

The ongoing convoys reflect coordinated efforts to deliver emergency assistance amid the current situation in the Strip.
